MVS has successfully supplied high pressure Nitrogen generators for these requirements.įrom a conventional on-site Nitrogen generator, Nitrogen is produced at 5 to 7-Bar pressure and thereafter Nitrogen pressure is boosted by a Booster compressor to 25-Bar pressure and Nitrogen is stored in high pressure tanks. This curing process needs continuous Nitrogen at 12 to 18-Bar pressure.
Steam was replaced in curing line by dry Nitrogen gas and under Nitrogen curing now worldwide thousands of curing lines are being operated and HT cables are being manufactured. Earlier steam curing of electrical cables was done but due to moisture present, the cable insulation always had some moisture left due to which insulation value was very poor.
